The study of microorganisms for industrial interest, developing technology to control and optimize microorganisms’ production processes, modified or not, or of their metabolites. Bioprospection applied to technological processes.
Research Line 2: Diversity and microbial association
Isolation and identification of microorganism’s ecology from natural, modified, and extreme environments. Microbial associations. Microbial interactions. Interactions between abiotic factors and microbial populations.
