Admission Process
The admission process usually takes place once a year, with applications beginning in July. There are around 30 places available, divided between the program's two lines of research. Selection is open to any candidate with an undergraduate degree who has a project to be developed in the area of Science and Mathematics Teaching. The applicants are classified in general order for the distribution of scholarships, prioritizing the highest ranked. International candidates must be proficient in Portuguese.
The number of scholarships varies from year to year, depending on the availability of funding agencies, so there is no guarantee of scholarships for all accepted candidates. The rules for each selection process are explained in specific calls for applications.
